Petition For the Reinstatement of Bill C-22
I was alerted to the death of Bill C-22 via Rose Derochers Blog
The bill can be resurrected when parliament reconvenes for the next session On October 16, 2007 . Rose advises her readership, “The only hope to seeing ‘The Age of Protection Act’ brought forward again is to call upon our Members of Parliament to support Bill-C-22 and see it be reinstated at its previous position before Parliament was prorogued.”
Its the previous position that is especially important here. This last session lasted from April till now. The bill being prorogued would have to start making the rounds again from the beginning. What Rose is suggesting us that it gets picked up at the where it left off, at the Senate level. This is the most efficient way to proceed.
Rose has called on all of us Canadians to help ensure this bill gets passed as soon as is possible for the sake of the kids. You can help by contacting Contact your Members of Parliament in support of the reinstatement of Bill C-22 The Age of Protection Act.

In response I began this new blog where I intend to track this situation and provide information to other’s who may want to join the petitions to reinstate the failed bill.
Please visit it, bookmark it pass it around to your friends. Thank you!

Thanks Hazel for getting the word out. I hope that other Canadians will contact Members of Parliament requesting support for the reinstatement of Bill C-22.
This is a very important pattition for the rights of children.I will be passing the word out. thank you.
till when the bill will be passed any idea ?
Hi There ROI, at the moment the bill is null and void. If we’re lucky (and this is where making noise as citizens comes in) it can be reinstated sometime during the next session of parliament which is slated to begin on Oct. 16
