Former B.C. Supreme Court judge arrested in the Caymens
In an apparent attempt to procure a face to face interview with the magistrate, Scotland Yard arrested Alex (Ace) Henderson early last Wednesday.
The name may be familiar to you, he became quite prominent in BC during the 80’s and 90’s presiding over the Bingogate and the infamous Mindy Tran Murder trial He later resigned his post in Canada to relocate to the Caymen Islands (as a grand Court Justice), where he was apprehended by Scotland Yard.
The legal community in BC is shocked.

- “It’s shocking, the fact he would be investigated, I just find astounding not something I would every think when it comes to Ace Henderson,” said criminal lawyer Terry La Liberte.
- “I sat with him on the bench here when he was on the Supreme Court. He always had an excellent reputation,” said Oppal.
- In B.C., Supreme Court Associate Chief Justice Patrick Dohm told CBC News he was “astounded” by Mr. Henderson’s arrest, adding that the Henderson he knew is beyond reproach and has no dark side.
Authorities held Henderson for two days and interrogated him for a total of eight hours. By Justice Henderson’s own admission the interrogation was simplistic and repetitive involving only a handful of questions.
Scotland Yard let him out on bail. Despite the motive of the arrest as supplied by Mr. Henderson, Scotland Yard’s warrant for arrest was made out for ’suspiscion of misconduct’. The amount of the bail has not been released. No charges have been laid.
Authorities released statements confirming Justice Henderson was arrested last Wednesday in connection with a corruption probe into members of the royal Cayman Islands police service, by the Scotland Yard.
Gov. Stuart Jack, the appointed British governor of the Caymens, said local rules restrict authorities from releasing details and would only say the arrest had nothing to do with rulings issued by Henderson in the island chain.
Henderson is the fifth person to be touched by this investigation. Three top police officials have been removed from their posts and Caymen’s first female Grand Court Justice, Priya Levers was suspended earlier this month pending an investigation into complaints against her that came to light last April.

Hey Hazel. I appreciate you staying on top of the many criminal endeavors engaged in by politicians and other evil villains. The light must be shown brightly on these pock marks on humanity.
Hey thanks! Good to see you. ‘Politicians and other evil villains’, has a nice ring to it.
Speaking of which, one story that isn’t getting much play at all is the senators aide’s recent arrest for a brutal sex assault. Police suspect he may have committed a string of them. And he’s out on bail. I posted his mug over here …
