Sorrow in Barrie

While looking for anything new regarding dear departed Alexandra Flanagan, I found this article about two Barrie area men and child porn.

Two Barrie men have pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography, and will be sentenced later this year.

Gary Bowman, 30, was charged after bringing a computer to a local pawnshop. Five images of child pornography were found by staff, who called police. He will receive a sentence Dec. 3.

Brian Vanderkwaak, 34, also pleaded guilty Thursday after hundreds of images were found on his computer. Police laid the charge after hearing someone -(his poor wife )- saw child porn on a compact disc owned by Vanderkwaak. He is being sentenced Thursday, Nov. 13.

Apparently Brian was charged with possessing  child porn, and also with making it. Sick.  My heart and gratitude goes out to his wife.

I’m still looking for any new information regarding Alexandra’s murder and the progress of the police investigation.  I haven’t been able to find any info past April 2008. Not even a single police press release. It’s now October 2008.  Anyone have any news to share?  Please leave a comment.
