Dearest Lonesome and Frank, thank you for your kind comments, but I cannot take credit for this poem.
I agree, this poem is so good, and speaks volumes about what its like to be young, lonely, scared and faking it.
It was written by a Maisy M. Odjick. I have been blogging about the disappearance of a young girl by the name of Maisy (?) Odjick and her best friend Shannon.
This poem was available online after our Maisy Odjick went missing. I am hoping and praying it is Maisy, indicating she is alive and maybe she’ll let some one somewhere know where she is.

comments: Hi, I left a comment here last week about a poem that has recently surfaced on the web
written by Maisy Odjick. It appears it was written and posted online AFTER Maisy and Shannon
went missing. I’m hoping someone from your group can look into this. At the very least, couldn’t
someone track the IP number of the poster who submitted the poem and at the very least – determine the location from which this poem was sent, and possibly even find where Maisy is? Hopefully,
Hazel.

I hate to say this, but the girl you claim to have wrote this must have got it from a website or other media, this poem was written 5 years ago by myself and a close friend. I hope you find the missing girl, but this poem isnt by her. Its a SUICIDE poem.
God Speed and Goddess Blessings
Dear Miss Clare, thank you so much for finding this post and replying. I was hopeful that this poem I found (on a website) was written by the Maisy Odjick that has gone missing. If it had been written by her, then maybe she could be found through the site. It’s a beautiful piece, and I’m glad you wrote it over choosing suicide. Thank you for your kind wishes about missing Maisy, I hope one day she will be found safe and sound.
Hazel.
I am Maisy’s mother Laurie Odjick
And her poem was not written after she went missing. You should have contacted me before you written or assume anything. You are leaving impressions on peoples mind writing things like that on a web site. And I am not happy. Her poem called” I’m” was written a long before she went missing. It is enough we as a family are going through a rough time. And we have to read things like that. Having people call me saying” Maisy’s ok she wrote a poem on line” And to have to explain it over and over that it is NOT true. Please get facts straight before hurting people.
Laurie Odjick
See it was not even written by her.You people need to do research on things before posting wrong informaton.
Hello Laurie thank you for contacting me. First may I say how sorry I am for the grief this post has caused you. Secondly, how sad I am that your daughter and Shannon are still missing.
I must clarify once and for all for you, and for anyone who is contacting you or thinking about contacting you saying, “Maisy is okay she’s writing poetry online”…
No where do I write that this poem was in fact written by your daughter. What I did write was this:
It (The poem) was written by a Maisy M.
Not knowing how to verify this poem, I contacted http://www.findmaisyandshannon.com/ twice regarding this matter, and never heard back.
I didn’t think contacting you directly was the compassionate thing to do until or unless the poem could be verified as being written by your daughter, or not.
It was verified that the poem was NOT written by your daughter in this thread.
This poem according to Miss Claire was written by her, before your daughter went missing. http://hazel8500.wordpress.com/2008/12/28/a-poem-by-maisy-m-odjick/#comment-45232
Therefore, I did not contact you directly. Perhaps that was a mistake.
You ask me to please get my facts straight before hurting people.
The entire intent of this thread and of contacting http://www.findmaisyandshannon.com/ was to get my facts straight, which as you can see I eventually did.
I started off with a question… Is this the missing Maisy? And put that question out there. I got back an answer… No. And I posted it.
I have been periodically looking through the media for reports into your daughters disappearance. As you can see here http://hazel8500.wordpress.com/?s=maisy
You may notice my distress over the lack of media coverage over Maisy and Shannon. Part of the mandate of this blog is to spotlight cases of missing people when the media can’t or won’t.
I do hope your daughter and her friend are found safe and soon, and I am sorry for the confusion and hurt this post caused you.
Hazel.
