First mention of Alexandra all year!
If you check google news ‘timeline’ for Alexandra Flanagan you can clearly see there has been absolutely nothing published with regards to the murdered hairdresser since the close of 2008. The last bit of news on the case was in November 2008, and it was an eye-popper.
We’re still waiting on the outcome of that bombshell.
Here it is Spring 2009, nearly two years after ‘Alex of the people’ was cruelly taken from the people. It just so happens the very first mention of her name is part of a footnote to an equally bizarre case out of the sleepy bedroom town of Barrie Ontario.
‘Self-inflicted wounds’ kill man in park: cops
-From the Barrie Advance.
After cordoning off the area and remaining at the scene throughout the day, Barrie Police reported a 27-year-old man died from self-inflicted wounds during a press conference at 5 p.m.
I don’t know about you but when I first read this paragrapaph I had to wonder how horrible would a press conference have to be to make someone inflict fatal wounds on themselves?
Then I finished my coffee and realized the location of this apparant suicide was in the park, not in front of a news crew and coppers. The park is one of Barrie’s largest parks and was also the last place Alex was seen alive.
Of course there’s no connection between this yet to be named 27 year old man and Alex outside of the location. Still, it does remind me of Alexandra, and the fact her killer or killers are still out there somewhere.
